Привет пацанам (и старикам)!
Ok, so they story is this: I watched собачье сердце and noticed the word голубчик. So, I started liking that word, and used it very diligently in my conversations with my Russian acquaintences. Then, one native Russian girl tells me, after calling her голубчик, that one never says that to a girl, but rather голубушка. But then another friend reads Война и Мир and there they say голубчик to girls.
That was a long intro. The question is simple:
Can one say голубчик to women?
Who is right? Соверменная русская девушка или Лев Николаевич Толстой?
