Could someone please explain the stuff with друг друга, друг к другу, друг у друга and so on? Or just give a link to a document that explains it? I'm a bit lost.

друг друга means "each other". If you have to use a preposition, you put it in the middle. For example, if you'd like to say "to each other", you say "друг к другу". Is this what your question was about?

And they second друг just takes the appropriate male case ending.
Они говорили друг с другом, etc. Just like, e.g., Саша говорил с Машей.
