    Until...

How does one express "until" in these sentances?

I will wait here until you say you're sorry.
Здесь буду оставатся...ты говоришь, что ты сожалеющий.
I kept running until I was tired.
    Я продолжал бежать...я был усталым.

Is it just the word "до"?

[EDIT] And another question that I don't think deserves another thread. How do you express "any", as in "I don't know any of the answers."

    Thanks

Я буду ждать, пока ты не скажешь, что тебе совестно.
Я всё бежал, пока не устал.
    Не знаю никакого ответа.

I will wait here until you say you're sorry. Я не уйду, пока ты не извинишься.

Whats the difference between those two sentances that causes them to have a different word for expressing "until"? And for the second one, which one of you is correct?

Direct translation of, "I kept running until I was tired." is, "Я продолжал бежать, пока не устал." It's OK grammaticaly but sounds wierd. In, "Я бежал до тех пор, пока не устал.", "до тех пор" is a way to translate "kept".

The important part of translating "until" is that the verb after it is in negative form in russian - did you see?
    until=пока не
so, it will be "я буду задавать вопрос до тех пор, пока не получу ответ"

    Any..
I don't know any of the answers = я не знаю ни одного ответа

So expressing any is just "ни одного" + genetive?

    It depends, really..
in the example you gave - this way, because it was "any of"
it could be "никакого", "любого", "совсем ничего"...

yes, translation is correct, but in the movie it got double meaning, that was said by an Italian who spoke good Russian, but not totally perfect, and he ment: until she lost he hope he ever be back. It sounded exactly the same, the way he said it is not proper, but still possible to say, which makes this phrase very funny, and I gave up to translate it to English long time ago.

Yes, there is, 'cause 'till is a short form for until. Don't ask me why the number of "L"s changes, though.

    касса

I think the number of L's changes because people confuse the word 'til with the word till - касса. Also, the short vowel before a single L is an uncharacteristic ending in English and looks unnatural to native speakers.

[Middle English, from Old English til, from Old Norse.]

Usage Note: Till and until are generally interchangeable in both writing and speech, though as the first word in a sentence until is usually preferred: Until you get that paper written, don't even think about going to the movies. ·Till is actually the older word, with until having been formed by the addition to it of the prefix un-, meaning “up to.” In the 18th century the spelling 'till became fashionable, as if till were a shortened form of until. Although 'till is now nonstandard, 'til is sometimes used in this way and is considered acceptable, though it is etymologically incorrect.
