I would like to better understand the meanings of молодец.
Can it be applied to a women?
молодца sounds really feminine but of course that the genitive right?
What's the meaning of simply
"молодец!" Can you say that to anybody (even a Бабушка ?)

Teacher says Молодец! praising student (boy or girl) after work well done. Close friends to each other.
It sounds a bit patronizing, so be mindful of it.

Молодец can be applied to anyone (including a woman and babushka :)) in informal speach. Gender does not matter.
Молодец is a short for adjective I think. Therefore Молодца would be the femine form, but it isnt used.
I've heard and seen Молодцы though...

If you are speaking to more than one person, you would use молодцы:

No, молодца is used. Towards women, by women and sometimes even towards men! For me this rings a distant bell of the стрекоза-стрекозёл wordplay...

Молодица fell out of use a very long time ago. Besides, молодица and молодца aren't even related: молодца (at-a-girl!) is a funny play on молодец (at-a-boy!) and молодица is the old feminine form of an equally old word молодец, which means something johncleesianly different.Quote:

I always considered "you da man" to be an Ebonic phrase.
So much slang in America, even I don't always get it.
It used to be, but then it snaked its way into the mainstream and became horribly annoying. And eventually went out of date. The latest mainstream "Ebonics" phrase is "you got served", I think.Quote:
