I'm having trouble understanding the construction(s) for 'until' in Russian. If someone could translate the English sentences below for me, I might see the pattern. Спасибо заранее.

I can't go out until I have finished my homework.
We shouldn't make assumptions until we understand the situation.
Don't leave until you have switched off the lights.
He was confident that he would win the game until he injured his knee.

You can replace "until" with "before":
до того, как
прежде чем, как
перед тем, как

There is
пока не - until, used with the past and future tense. This is the "real" meaning of until, where it can't be replaced by "before" in English.

Я подожду пока он не вернётся - I'll wait until he returns
Я подождал пока машина не выехала на площадь - I waited until the car came out onto the square.

We shouldn't make assumptions until we understand the situation. Не будем стоить строить догадок, пока не поймём ситуацию до конца / пока хорошенько не узнаем всю ситуацию.
Don't leave until you have switched off the lights. Не уходи, пока не потушишь/не выключишь свет (sounds a bit strange to me...)
