In a book about "Фонетика и Интонация I find the word какуминальный whose meaning I can't find in the Dictionaries. Can anyone help me? Thanks

какуминальный согласный звук (cacuminal consonant) - is a consonant that you make raising the top of your tongue right to the palate.
In Russian such consonants are

ж
ш
р

It means consonantals like "р", "ш".
The Big soviet encyclopedia says:
(from lat. cacumen - sharp edge (острый край), top)
front consonants, top of your tongue is raised and creased up while front part of your tongue is incurved.

Yeah, makes a lot of sense since "cacumen" in Latin means "summit".

Since "Knowing gets no place" (el saber no ocupa lugar), I inform to the whole world that this word is rather used in Spanish in coloquial language as synonimous of "intelligence, common sense, head ". and it is said: "Such a person has no cacumen" if his opinion counts little or nothing.
