Can someone give me a few Russia words -- formal or slang -- for "sycophant/brown-noser/suck-up/toady?" Also is there a literal translation for "Yes-man?"

sycophant, toady, suck-up - это одно и то же?

льстец, подхалим, подлиза
сленг: жополиз :)

глагол: льстить, подлизываться, подхалимничать
сленг: подмазываться

my teacher explained that подхалим is the more grown-up version of подлиза and can be used to describe the guy in the office who will suck up to any boss, i guess could be close to yes man
