    Schaum's Grammar #20

    Please correct my understanding of the text in the following sentences.
    Also check if my cases are correct. (N = nominative, A = accusative). Спасибо.

    3. Учитель (N) проверил задание (A).
    The teacher inspected the homework.

    4. Туристы (N) посетили музей (A).
    The tourists visited the museum.

    That's correct.

    3. (Кто?) Учитель (so it's nominative) проверил (Что?) задание (so it's accusative and it's a direct object).

    4. (Кто?) Туристы посетили (Что?) музей.

    In Russian there is one problem with nominative case and accusative case when we use inanimate things. In such case you can imagine that thing is animate (that it's like man).

    For example, let's imagine that 'музей' is a man.
    (Кто?) Туристы посетили (Кого?) музей.
    Could you correct my mistakes, please.

    Именительный (nominative) - Кто? Что?
    And
    Винительный (accusative) - Кого? Что?

    Both cases have the same question "Что?". But maybe it isn't a problem for you.
    Could you correct my mistakes, please.
