    resume in russian

I need to translate my resume into Russian and I'm running into trouble in several places. Any help on how to translate the following words and phrases would be wonderful.

    1. Bachelor of Arts

    2. Grade Point Average

    3. Intern

    4. Tutor

    5. Web design and to design a website

    6. Russian and Eurasian Studies (my major)

    7. Magna cum laude (will this be understandable as is?)

    Thank you!

    Re: resume in russian

Would not hurt to have context, but here it is

    1. Bachelor of Arts

    Бакалавр искусств

    2. Grade Point Average

Средний балл (you have to realize though that Russian grade system is based on five points, so your 3.9 may be considered rather low unless you explain)

    3. Intern

    Стажёр (Medical doctor is Интерн)

    4. Tutor

    Репетитор, тьютор (depending on circumstances)

    5. Web design and to design a website

    Веб-дизайн; дизайн интернет-сайтов.

    6. Russian and Eurasian Studies (my major)

Главная специальность - Российская и Евразийская культура

    7. Magna cum laude (will this be understandable as is?)

I doubt it. Диплом с отличием, but not a direct equivalent

Нет такого русского слова "тьютор". Преподаватель или репетитор, если преподавание велось на дому. И я не уверена, что Studies в данном контексте это "культура", это может быть и политология, и социология и что угодно.

Ok, I'll give it to you, there is no such word where you grew up .

As far as cultural studies go, like I said, there should be a context. One can't just say "Изучение русского и евразийского непонятно чего".

    Re: resume in russian

Thanks so much that was extremely helpful!

"Репетитор" and "Стажёр" don't have feminine forms, do they?

"Russian and Eurasian Studies" covers history and politics as well as literature, language etc. Is there a way to translate it more broadly than "культура"?

So how would I say "3.9 out of 4.0"? (из 4.0??)

Thanks again adoc and Gerty for the help!

They do, but they are not appropriate in a formal resume.

Mmm, let's see. You can say "Русская и Евразийская история, политика и культура". This would be the most accurate description.

So how would I say "3.9 out of 4.0"? (из 4.0??)

    3.9 (из 4.0).

Thanks again adoc and Gerty for the help!

    Sure, no problem

I can use "дизайн" as a verb? What would that look like in the past tense?

    Technically "выполнять дизайн"

What does the full sentence look like?

Here's the context: [I] designed and created a section on Save the Children’s programs in Nicaragua
