Thread: threat / угроза

Is угроза the best word for threat as in the following sentences? Also are the following sentences properly formed or are they awkward or otherwise incorrect? Would a competent Russian speaker be likely to word them this way or would they say something different to convey the same meaning in English?

Всегда быть в курсе внутренних, а также внешних угроз.

(Always be aware of internal as well as external threats.)


Перечень возможных угроз является довольно длительным.

(The list of possible threats is quite lengthy.)

Это был только пустая угроза.
(It was just an idle threat.)

Угроза is the word, yes.
Sentences are good indeed, only I can suggest minor corrections
1) possibly sentence is incomplete and should read "Вы должны всегда быть в курсе внутренних, а также внешних угроз."
2) длительный is about time as in "длительное ожидание". Перечень - длинный.
