How can I say for example "I like you". Does it sound just as "I love you" in Russian - "Я тебя люблю? Or maybe there is another way to say "I like you"?

In russian you dont perticularly say "I like this" you have to say "this to me like" / is likeable.
So its common to mix it up at first. Since it is backwards for us english speakers. Instead of saying "i like you" you have to say "you are likeable to me".
The first time i tried i said something like я тебе нравится or something lol. So dont worry, it comes with time.
Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!
You didn't understand me.
I want to know how can I tell that I like somebody like a friend. I don't want to tell that I love him/his or something similar. Because I never heart separate term for "I like you". I simple wonder about it.
Uhm i think i understand you pretty good because нравиться doesnt mean love it means like. And if you are talking to a girl then it isnt any easier than in english because подруга means a girl thats a friend, and a girl friend. Just like english Girlfriend. So. i dont know what ur complaining about.
If u want to be all scientific about it say something like я считаю Вас моим другом. Use Вас so they dont get all paraniod that you LOVE them for рады бога.

Even in English if you say to a girl "I like you" it sounds like you mean you want to fuck them.

Jeez cant a guy get a sentence in.
Usually telling a girl you like them means u have a crush on them, think they are cute and would like to date them/ get to know them better.Originally Posted by Mordan

It's just that some dudes can only think with their penis when it's about women and of course the way they behave when saying such phrase means what TATY wrote.Originally Posted by BlackMage
