Thread: Learning Vocabulary

I am a visual learner. In order for me to learn vocabulary, I need to see it written out. By just hearing a word for the first time, simply sounds like gibberish. Once I see the word, it's easy for me to understand. Anyway, to get to the point, does anyone have other visual ways to learn new words besides flashcards and writing the words out? I know I can also draw pictures, but I can't draw, and I can't do that for every word.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Well, for me it doesn't stick into my mind until I practice writing it.

The obvious answer, I think, is reading and more reading.
