Thread: Irregular forms

So I've been looking all through my grammar book, but I simply can't seem to find a declension paradigm for the following nouns. Namely, I'm struggling with the nominative and genitive plural. Could somebody help me, please?

дерево
уголь

Whoa, Friendy, how did you do that??!? Anyhow, Kathakali, the rule to go by here is change soft sign to "и" in plural and "ей" for genitive. There are, of course, exceptions, but that rule holds true for most of them.

Pravit, I know the rule, but since they appeared in a respective test (where there were mostly irregular nouns) for some reason I had thought they had irregular forms. Sometimes I get easily confused :-/
