Ok. So to add to my confusion about when to use тысячей and тысячью, I found them used in the same way. And i also found that what there were a thousand of, was used in two different cases. Arrrgh!
So, someone, please tell me....which of these are right? and when do i use which!!!!
женщина с тысячей лиц.
женщина с тысячью лиц.
женщина с тысячей лицами.
женщина с тысячью лицами.

could someone make up some sentences about when you would use с тысячью лиц and when you would use с тысячью лицами.

There is a rule about cases of nouns after numbers - one that I consider more important than being able to conjugate numbers themselves. The rule goes:
1 - nominative
2, 3, 4 - genitive singular
5 - 11 - genitive plural
12, 13, 14 - same as 2, 3, 4
What do you want to say?
A woman with A THOUSAND FACES
A woman with THOUSANDS OF FACES
The face that launched a thousand ships...
Wait...isnt 12 13 14 an exception...i though they were genetive plural. then the 22 23 24 starts off with 2 3 4.Quote:
