Here is the defintion 3 different sources provide (just to shed more light for those who are not familiar with the term):

Going along with something that seems stupid or pointless for the sake of the other person.

To humor someone is to accomodate one’s behavior to the expectations of another person. For example:
The boss wants to have a company picnic. We’ll just have to humor him and pretend we think it’s a good idea.
