How to translate 'Mrs Green's son'?
How would I translate Mrs Green's son? I know possession is usually rendered by the genitive but Mrs Green ends in consonants so I can't use feminine case endings and I can't use masculine case endings because the subject refers to a woman and presumably I can't leave it undeclined because the possessive element won't be there. What do I do? Thank you.

It should be "миссис", with two "с" in the middle.

In cases like female "Грин", or (any)"Бруно" or any similar, the proper name isn't declined in Russian. "...сын миссис Грин и её первого мужа мистера Бруно" (Can "Bruno" be a surname? Anyway, it works for both names and surnames that way) but "сын миссис Грин и её второго мужа мистера Грина". All adjectives, past tense verbs, etc. still agree as if appropriate ending was there.
There are also a few regular nouns like that, e.g. "пальто" ([neut.] "coat"), "кофе" ([neut. or m.] "coffee")or "миссис" ([f.]) itself.
P.S. Typo (double "и") fixed.

ac220, I’m tired of screwing with my good old trusty microscope I have to fish out of a chest of drawers every time I see your fine footnotes. Have mercy on us all! :thanks:

Sorry, I just digress too much too often. :( I will try something else from now on. Less digressions or something...
Sorry for not realizing the problem. It's difficult for me to read any kind of font anyway right now, although doctors promise I will get better, so I reconfigured my browser a bit... 250% magnification, etc. It's a bit difficult to guess how something looks with a more conventional browser setup after that.
