Северное Море важно для нас. (No hyphen, I think)
The North Sea is important for us.

Thanks. I wasn't sure since it would behave as a loan word, i thought it might be в Савое. I'm sorry my lack of English knowledge

Когда ты ложишься? Better: "Когда ты ложишься спать?"
When do you (use to) og to bed?

Мой друг любит учиться в школе. Better: "Моему другу нравится учиться в школе." OR "Мой друг любит ходить в школу."
My friend loves to go to school.

Мы жили в Савойе (?). "Савойе" - it's ok. If "Савойа" is a hotel, then - в "Савойе", with commas.
    We lived at Savoy.

Северное Море – важно для нас. Это звучит не по-русски :)
The North Sea is important for us.

For some reason, "sounds well" doesn't work in English.

No, that would be "теперь мы будем ходить в кино". "Теперь мы идём в кино" emphasizes that before we were doing or have done something else, for example: мы сделали уроки и теперь идем в кино - we've done our homeworks and now we are going to the movies
"Happy new year, happy new year
May we all have a vision now and then
Of a world where every neighbour is a friend"

Yes. I can't think of any situation where "homework" can be plural.

"Homework" is just an uncountable noun (неисчислимое существительное).
Please correct my mistakes if you can, especially article usage.

    Another Q:

I thought adverbials should "always" precede a noun.

Is one of these sentences odd, or are both of them perfectly equal?
Я очень хорошо спал. / Я спал очень хорошо.

Same Q about SVO/SOV with personal pronouns in Acc:

    Я вижу её. / Я её вижу.
Я терпеть не могу его. / Я его терпеть не могу.
    Я понимаю тебя. / Я тебя понимаю.

When should I pay attention to word order in basic sentences structures like SVO/SOV? I know these are grammatically correct, but I want to know which of the structures is commonly used and does not sound odd.

    Спасибо

In Russian the most important thing is inflexion of voice.

    These sentences are equal.
You can say: Я очень хорошо спал. (This means: you slept, and your sleep was good )

But you can say: Я очень хорошо спал! (This can be an answer to: "How did you sleep?")

So you can say "Я спал очень хорошо" or "Я спал очень хорошо" or "Я спал очень хорошо!" etc.
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.
