Thread: Genitive Case Question

So I have reached a point in my Russian language book where it explains that after два/две три and четыре you should use genitive plural adjectives with genitive singular masculine/neuter nouns and nominative plural adjectives with genitive singular feminine nouns.

Ex: три новых слова.
четыре новые книги.

Does the rule also apply in situations, for example: около новые книги.
около новых галстука.

Don't know about the rule but:

около новых книг
около новых галстуков

Yes, it's genetive and don't forget to properly conjugate all the related words, both an adjective and a noun it relates to for that matter.
