Thread: femenine plural accusative endings

I'm still not sure about this part of declension. Are femenine animate plural nouns in the accusative case just like in the nominative case?
Why is it женщин then, is it irregular?

Feminine plural is the same in nominative and accusative for nouns describing non-living things, but (like with masculine words) accusative plural is the same as genitive plural for nouns describing living entities. In singular, the same rule applies only to grammatically masculine living entities but not to feminine ones.
