"Сидеть" has several different meanings, but I assume your question is about sitting/staying seated. Depending on the context, "Я долго не просидел" may mean (a) the speaker didn't have patience to sit for a long time, OR (b) that he didn't stay seated for long time (those are the most common meanings, it may mean something else in a different context). By the way, "Долго я не просидел" would be a more natural word order in either case.Originally Posted by Yuki
"Я долго не сидел" may mean either that (c) it's been a long time since he "сидел" the last time, or (d) that he didn't sit for a long time (in other words, he only stayed seated for a short time).
This sentence can also mean that he didn't stay in jail for long time.
Please, correct my mistakes, except for the cases I misspell something on purpose!
