    Difference between вам and вас

    вам - to you
    вас - you have

    Is that right?

    вам - Dative case - Дать вам = To give you
    вас - Genitive or Accusative case - Видеть вас = to see you (Accusative) - без вас = without you (Genitive)

    у вас (есть) что-то = you have smth.
    "Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?

    Вас is prepositional too. Some different uses. Деньги при вас? С вас ___ рублей. По/прошу вас!

    Conceptionally the same diffence exists in English between "him" and "his", even though they are singular. This is not an exact correspondence, but these pronouns are vestigial remains of a functioning case system in English.
