Thread: Declining russian names?

I need some help, I can't seem to quite figure out how to decline russian names. I also don't know if the first name should be declined as well.

For instance, how would I say someone (any name, doensn't matter) has <whatever book> by Tatyana Tolstaya, or Fyodor Dostoyevski.

As I understand it the last name would go into genetive, does the first name as well?

You decline each name, and here, as it's seen, it's genetive.

Yes, you decline both:

Книга Татьяны Толстой
Книга Фёдора Достоевского

Note that these two names are Adjectives (ending -ский, -стая), so decline like adjectives.

У Пети (Маши, Лены, Коли, Люси, etc.) есть книга Татьяны Толстой (Фёдора Достоевского).
