    dative w/ reflexive

She doesn't feel like working.
He doesn't feel like reading.

Is that how you translate that kind of construction?

Would you say, "he didn't want to believe"?

I would rather translate that as "he couldn't believe", "he wasn't able to believe".
In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.

    Re: dative w/ reflexive

Does it only imply a lack of desire, or can it also imply difficulty/hindrance?
    eg

    It is lack of desire.
- is acceptable but it means that her desire was too weak to overcome even minor difficulty.

I'd say that in sperk's example it exactly implies difficulty. It was hard to him to believe.
