А подходящим будет, например, "она всем говорила..."
Не могу объяснить лучше, но употребление "всегда" отличается в английском и русском :upset:

он ещё не учеником - same here:
он ещё не ученик
он ещё не является учеником
(видимо, подразумевается "он ещё не школьник"?)

Он не так молод - ок
Он не такой молодой - ok
Если речь о ребёнке, то "молодой" по отношению к детям не употребляется.
Возможно: "он ещё слишком маленький" или
"в его возрасте ещё можно ездить бесплатно"

This is a complex sentence for me, maybe I'm making it too complex. I want to say, "At times our kids don't do what we ask them to do." Иногда дети не делают, что мы просим их делать. I'm really not sure about imperfective/perfective here. What's the clearest way to say this in Russian?

This is another complex sentence I'm not sure how to link together. "I hope I'll be healthy enough to do what I want to do." (The discussion is about life after retirement.)
Я надеюсь, что буду довольно здоров, чтобы смогу делать то, что хочу сделать.

Мой варианты:
Я надеюсь, что буду достаточно здоров и я смогу делать всё, что захочу.
Я надеюсь, что буду достаточно здоров, чтобы заниматься тем, чем мне захочется.
Я надеюсь, что здоровье у меня будет хорошее и я смогу делать то, что захочу.
Я надеюсь, что здоровье у меня тогда будет достаточно хорошее для того, чтобы делать то, что я захочу.

Дети часто не слушаются (слушаться - это такой спец.глагол ;-) )

Я надеюсь, что здоровье позволит мне заниматься тем, чем захочется.

How about this one? I'm always a little confused on how to express in Russian what we express with infinitive phrases in English. This is from a discussion about childhood memories. I want to say, "I remember playing football." Would that be Я помню, как играл в американсий футбал.?

Here is another difficult sentence for me, talking about why life might be better after retirement. Из за того что, я не должен будет делать много, что я должен сейчас делать. I want to say that I won't have to do a lot of things that I'm obligated to do now (that I'm working).

This is another one: У меня будет большо времени, чтобы делать много, на тот у меня сейчас времени нет. I want to say something like, "I'll have more time to do a lot of things I don't have time for now."

Is this sentence correct? Разница есть мехду удовольством и счастьем. I want to say, there's a difference between happiness and pleasure.

У меня будет больше времени, чтобы делать многое из того, на что () сейчас () нет.
Better:
У меня будет больше времени, на многое из того, на что () сейчас не хватает.
"I'll have more time to do a lot of things I don't have time for now."

I want to say, there's a difference between happiness and pleasure.
Разница есть между удовольствием и счастьем.
The word order is unnatural.
Есть разница между удовольствием и счастьем.
Разница между удовольствием и счастьем есть.
Между удовольствием и счастьем разница есть.

Удовольствие и счастье - это не одно и то же.

Thanks for your help. I'm trying to figure out this sentence and can't manage to. У меня будет больше времени, на многое из того, на что () сейчас не хватает. What does () mean? I don't understand the structure of the second part. As a mechanical translation into English, how would it go? This is the best I can do: I will have more time for a lot among which for what isn't enough now. I don't understand how из того fits in. Is there a simpler way to express this?

I used empty brackets to mark places where your translation contained some additional words, which, I believe, are better to skip (still they can be kept). Namely you wrote "... у меня сейчас времени нет". It is OK and can be left as it is, but in Russian it is better style to skip (у меня) and (времени), because all those parts are contained in the main clause and are not necessary to repeat.

У меня будет больше времени, на многое из того, на что (skipped мне) сейчас (skipped времени) не хватает.

Mechanically: I will have more time for many of things, that now I have not enough time for.

In Russian constructions like "то что" are used to connect clauses in a complex sentence and often IMO can be translated as "a thing that" (or "a person that" or whatever).

Almost done with this chapter. I'm trying to discuss the difficulties in learning Russian. Are these sentences correct grammatically and/or do they make sense?

Я не понимаю даже не одного слова. I'm not sure if слово should be in the genitive or accusative.
Я изучал по себе до сих пор. I want to say, "Up to now, I've been studying on my own."
Может быть мне нужны будут ещё два года, прежде чем, что смогу говорить хорошо.
Мой словарный запас очень мало/ограничен/славый. Are any of the adjectives ok?

Я не понимаю ни слова. (слова is genitive)
Я изучал по себе до сих пор.
До сих пор я учился сам.
Может быть мне нужны будут(better понадобится) ещё два года, прежде чем, что (я) смогу говорить хорошо.
