I'm writing a CV in russian.

Как сказать по-русски:

1) Software developer and the word "developer".

1bis) the development took 3 month. "развитие прошлось 3 месяца" ?

2) Designer as in designing an application

3) Master Thesis

4) Computer Science

5) To implement new ideas

6) A team and teamwork

Разработка продолжалась три месяца

Хм... основной тезис?

Компьютерная наука. Наука о компьютерах.

Внедрять новые идеи

Команда и командная работа (работа в команде)

Это же degree dissertation? Только не на корочку диплома, а на Master.
Isn't it, Mordan? Here in Germany, the "diploma degree" and, thus, the diploma thesis were replaced by Bachelor ("less" than diploma) and Master (slightly "more" than diploma) to meet the European standards in education.
So that's a degree dissertation for such a Master degree, I suppose?

That would be informational science. There's a difference.

Sure? In German "computer science" means exactly "Informatik", in French it's "informatique". It's not translated literately. Wouldn't be a surprise if it were the same in russian.

Well, that's a question of definitions. We have the same subject at schools which is called "информатика". But thinking more deeply I can see a difference between 'a science about information' and 'a science about computers'. One studies information per se, the other one studies computers. Of course I know that set term but personally I think it's wrong.

"Master" (at least the "european" Master Mordan could be talking about) is NOT the same as M.A. (Магистер) as far as I know.

Yea kt_81. Master in the european sense. A Master is a 5 years university plan. The Diploma (license here) dissappeared everywhere in Europe with Bologne.
At the end of a Master, you have to undertake a major dissertation on a subject, called in English Master Thesis (M

There are no such type of science as "компьютерная наука" or "наука о компьютерах" in Russian terms. "Наука" is a type of activity which function is to produce and theoretically systematize objective knowledge about real world (quick translation from Big Soviet Encyclopaedia). In such conditions "наука о компьютерах" sounds so like computers are living creatures who live on trees and eat bugs and we must catch and study them to know more.

I may agree that "computer science" is a field of "информатика" but it is not a science itself (note, I speak only about Russian, I just cannot translate "computer science" because I don't know exactly what it means).

So, as a conclusion, we can either use word "информатика" for "computer science" or use another ways of saying such things.

Small tip: we often use in Russian the term "информационные технологии" which is loan translation of "informational technologies". Can it be an analog of "computer science"?

Also we have such degree as (do not know exactly) "инженер по информационным технологиям" or "специалист в области информационных технологий". Perhaps it is more or less reflects "Engineer in Computer Science".
