    'drama queen' по-русски?

What would be the best way to translate 'drama queen' into Russian? Would a direct translation work or is there an equivalent phrase in Russian? Thanks in advance.

I think one of the good options might be "истеричка", although it's not 100% accurate. The direct translation wouldn't work, as it sounds a rather positive description.

There's no direct equivalent, so you'll have to improvise each and every time.
The closest word in my opinion is "драматизировать" (it's connected to "drama" too).
    * драматизировать (verb) - to exaggerate a gloomy, dark side of events, circumstances, etc.
So you might say "Он вечно всё драматизирует!", "Опять ты драматизируешь", or something along these lines.

speaking of phrases with no direct translation...

I asked a girl before how to say "make love" in Russian and she replied with phrases along the lines of "sleep with" or such. Is there a way to say "make love" in Russian? I mean I think practically every language must have this phrase.

Well, this one is easy. There's (almost) a direct equivalent.
to make love = заниматься любовью
(literally it's something like "to be occupied/to be busy with love" or "to do love")

yeah I thought there should be, it was just strange that the girl was telling me all kinds of other phrases instead but her English wasn't the best, so maybe that's why.

I think that the way the expression "заниматься любовью" is used, it's just a euphemism for "заниматься сексом".
Which begs the question: how much different the expressions "have sex" and "make love" are? I used to think there is a considerable difference. Is there, really?

well yeah at least in English, "make love to you" can be used in certain flirtatious ways where "have sex with you" just wouldn't have the same effect. e.g. "I am going to make love to you until the sun comes up"... "I am going to have sex with you until the sun comes up" just doesn't have the same ring to it. But really with these kinds of things it's more important how you say it than what you say.

Ah, I have an exellent suggestion for this case:
Я буду любить тебя до (самого) рассвета.

This usage of "любить" is kind of old-fashioned, I think.
When at a wedding party somebody says "любите друг друга" I always understand it in a way that sex is included.

And I think that "заниматься любовью" came into Russian with translations of american movies, but I may be wrong, it just that it doesn't sound right to me.
