Thread: Buying apples

I was buying apples in the market.

I asked for 10 apples - i was asked if I wanted стук - actually it wasn't this at all but this is the closest I can get to understanding the word. What might I have been being asked? A 'dozen'? Or - what word might she have been using? - something which sounds like стук but isn't.
