    With якобы, one conveys rumors (someone said...). Предположительно could express uncertainty in other situations (logical deduction, scientific prognosis,...) and sounds more formal: Предположительно, это лето будет жарким.
    So якобы & предположительно are close but not same.

    Fresh example:
    При этом ранее в СМИ со ссылкой на одного из пассажиров рейса SU 2685 появилась информация о том, что в аэропорту удалось предотвратить крупное авиационное происшествие — на взлетно-посадочной полосе якобы едва не столкнулись два самолета, которые одновременно прибыли из Берлина и из Хельсинки.

    A Russian-speaker I know gave me this feedback:
    якобы - implies that the accusation is questionable
    Предположительно - implies that the accusation is reliable (but not necessarily proven)
    Also the word киллер is more likely to be used than убийца, according to him.

    Speaking of killers, has the movie Американский снайпер been widely viewed in Russia? What has been the reaction of Russians to that movie?
