Thread: Basic Russian Grammar Exercises

Всем привет!! I've realized for quite a while that I really need some exercises to help me with the grammar. I generally understand it, but I don't remember the endings so it's a struggle to say or write anything correctly. And I need/want the exercises to start off simple and then very gradually become more difficult with LOTS of repetition and variation. Basically, it's not a 'test' or 'quiz', it's more like 'speed drills' to help me, and others, improve their Russian grammar.

I've set up interactive exercises on my website and I hope everyone here can give me more examples and I will make pages out of them also. Basically, I've set up 5 questions per page and have done 5 basic pages and am working on more.

Почему на моих ключах мёд? - sounds better.

Это ........? ( Is this/that you? )

The English sentence is incorrect, I believe (Russian question "Это я?", correct?)

These exercises are provided on the site for FREE. There is other material available that people can pay for if they like, but these exercises are completely free and it is not advertising.

The other question, is like pointing to a picture and asking: Это я? (Is this me? / Is that me?) It can be either in English depending on the position of the person asking the question. Basically, if he/she is pointing and can touch the picture, they'd use 'this', otherwise they'd say 'that'.

Here are some more that I'd like to make into questions. Please let me know if there are any mistakes.

Ой! Забыла книгу.
У меня нет книги.
Я очень люблю эту книгу.
Мы говорили о твоей книге. (which probably means he/she wrote the book)
Как её зовут?
Ого!! У тебя много книг!!
Ты любишь книги?
Ты любишь читать?
Что ты любишь читать? (What do you like reading?) (meaning what kind of books do you like)
Где газета? - Вон там. На столе. Под книгой.
Ого!! У тебя много газет!!
Ого!! У тебя много журналов!!
Откого так много писем? (Who are all the letters from?)
Откуда так много яблок? (Where are all the apples from? / Where'd you get all the apples?)
Ты читала эту книгу?
Ты смотрела этот фильм?
Ты не знаешь, где моя книга? - Знаю, она на улице. На столе.
Рэкс! Иди на улицу!
Где Рэкс? - Он на улице.
