    рема

In the following phrase I find the word рема that is also in Морфологический словарь, but not in my dictionary nor in other dictionaries in the web. What does it mean? :
В вопросительном предложении ремой вопроса независимо от места интонационого центра является местоименное слово (что, кто, куда, где, и т.д.).
    Thanks.

    Re: рема

"Рема" is one of the two components of the phrase. First one - "тема" (a theme) is a given, initial info, it's often presented as a subject of the sentence. Rhema is a new, additional info, a point of the sentence: "Магазин закрывается поздно". Rhema is accentuated by intonation or by positioning it in the end of the sentence.

In English, theme and rheme are often called topic and comment.

    Re: рема

It is known that every complete sentence has a theme and a rheme. The theme is one or more words which express already known or understood information, i.e. information that is being taken for granted. The rheme is new information that a speaker wants to communicate.
