Thread: прибрежный и наземный

In an article about the cost of electrical energy got through different ways if mentions eolical energy got with an прибрежный и an наземный factory (I don't know if this is the word).
прибрежный is translated in the vocabulary-help as "costal" and наземный as "onshore". But in my dictionary both word reffer to a narrow strip of land near the sea. As a consequence I don't understand the complete paragraf. Can you make it clear for me? Thanks.

"Прибрежный" can refer to objects near a shore either on land or on/in water. It might be not clear due to a dropped vowel and consonant alternation, but it means "при береге". "Наземный" means "on land" (на земле) regardless of a distance from a shore.
