    вымощена - суждено

From which verbs are the words "вымощена" and "суждено" derived and what do they mean? Here are the sentences in which I found them:

    - И в своих трудах, и при личном общении Хайек красноречиво объяснял, почему дорога к процветанию вымощена свободой - экономической и личной.

    - В тот исторический день вы вновь получили суверенитет, но вашей надежде не суждено было сбыться.

    them verbs

Вымощина derives from мостить which means to pave, like pave a road , a famous expression using this past participle is Дорога в ад вымощена благими намериниями - the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

    in your example

И в своих трудах, и при личном общении Хайек красноречиво объяснял, почему дорога к процветанию вымощена свободой - экономической и личной.

both in his wors and in person Хаек explained beuatifuylly why the road to prosperity is aved with fredom, both economic and personal.

Суждено - This one I really don't know what verb it derives from, probably some archaic verb that's no longer in wide use, the participle though survived, the sentence

В тот исторический день вы вновь получили суверенитет, но вашей надежде не суждено было сбыться.

roughly translates as on that day we got independence but our hope would not come to pass.

literally суждено means destined it's used most often in the negative не суждено which is almost like a cliche, another synonimous cliche would be не судьба. There's an old joke about two trains that travel on the same track in the opposite directions but they never meet, the joke asks why didn't they meet and then replies - не судьба/ потому что не суждено было им встретится it was not their fate/destiny to collide.

on second thought суждено probably originates from the verb судить but as a verb Судить is never used in relation to fate or destiny these days, it's only used in the sense of judge or condemn.

Извиняюсь, но "суждено" не употребляется в значении "судить".
    "Суждено" имеет отношение к судьбе.

"Судьба, судьбина, рок, удел, жребий, доля, участь, счастье, будущность, грядущее, предназначение, предопределение, провидение. Мне суждено, дано, предопределено, на роду написано; мне выпало на долю; такая судьба мне выпала (досталась). " (с.)

Destiny, fate, happiness, future, predetermination, a foresight. It is fated to me, it is given, predetermined...

А судьба и суд слова однокоренные.
