Hi!
I woul like to know whether I used "It is up to you" phrase correctly in the sentence below.
Ты хочешь поити в кино или в театр вечером? Воля твоя.
No. You should use "Как хочешь", "Мне все равно", "Выбирай сам".
"Воля твоя" usually means "I don't agree with you, but It's you who makes the desicion". Like "— А я всё равно женюсь на ней! — Воля твоя."
It's quite colorful phrase, so it should be used carefully.
I know it's "MR" not "ME", but still: fix my english mistakes, please!
Thank you!
I am also grateful for a new phrase "всё равнo". In that sentence it means "anyway", doesn't it?
А я всё равно женюсь на ней! Literaly -> And I will marry him anyway.
FYI literally "Воля твоя" translated as "It's your will"
воля твоя - is formal: your will, as you will, as you decide.
one has to be aware of the difference between FORMAL and INFORMAL.
I would say: Это зависит от тебя
Я как ты или как ты скажешь
Мне все равно to me could be a little a negative, as if you're not interested. But maybe that's just me.
Есть еще такой вариант: "тебе решать!"
I do not claim that my opinion is absolutely true.
If you've spotted any mistake in my English, please, correct it. I want to be aware of any mistakes to efficiently eliminate them before they become a habit.
