It's unclear, whether the life was always meaningless and you just have not noticed it, or it made sense, but the sense mislaid somewhere.

то ли [...], то ли [...] = whether [...], or [...]

P.S. By the way, do you know what "Смешарики" means? It comes from two words "смешные" and "шарики" = смеш + шарики = Смешарики. So, in English it would be something like "Funny little balls". "For female audience only".
