    Перевод

Я попытал переводить один короткий текст с английского на русском. Можно контролировать его? Спасибо ))

Some people are on a bus. - Несколько людей в одном автобусе.

It is a normal bus journey. - Это обычная экскурсия на автобусе.

It happens in Seattle. - Это случилось в Сиэтле.

There’s a bad man on the bus. - Там плохой человек

He has a gun. - У него есть пистолет.

The criminal threatens the people. - Преступник угрожает людям.

He points the gun at a man. - Он направлял пистолет на человека.

This man is not afraid.- Этот человек не боялся.

He pulls the criminal to the ground.-(Я не мог написать фразу "He pulls the criminal to the ground" на русском языке??)

Some people run away, but other people help the man. -Некотрые люди помогли его, но другие люди убежали.

They hold the criminal. They wait for police.- Они подержали преступника. Они ждали полицию.

I believe you have to select one tense (either past or present) in your narrative and follow it consistently.

"Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?

Some people are on a bus. - Несколько людей в одном автобусе. OK

It is a normal bus journey. - Это обычная экскурсия поездка на автобусе. (Экскурсия means "excursion", as if the people in the bus are tourists)

It happens in Seattle. - Это случилось в Сиэтле. (Sounds Ok, but literally it means "Это происходит в Сиэтле", the present tense)

There’s a bad man on the bus. - Там плохой человек = *В автобусе плохой человек. (When you translate "there is/are" construction, you should put last part of the English sentence to begining of the Russian one)

He has a gun. - У него есть пистолет. OK

The criminal threatens the people. - Преступник угрожает людям. OK

He points the gun at a man. - Он направлял направляет пистолет на человека. (the present tense, another translation: "Он целится из пистолета в человека")

This man is not afraid.- Этот человек не боялся боится. (the present tense)

He pulls the criminal to the ground.- Он валит преступника на пол. ("на пол" coz it happens in the bus, if it would occur in a street or outside, it would be "на землю")

Some people run away, but other people help the man. - Некоторые люди помогли помогают его ему, но другие люди убежали убегают. (The best translation is "остальные люди")

They hold the criminal. They wait for police.- Они подержали удерживают преступника. Они ждали ждут полицию.

What is the difference between несколько and Некоторые?
Should I conclude that Некоторые is used when we want to "isolate" some people from a defined group.

    Yes.

    Несколько - several.
    Некоторые - some (of).

"Некоторые люди" sounds wrong to me.
I'd say "несколько человек/пассажиров" or "некоторые из пассажиров", not "некоторые пассажиры/люди".

Некоторые люди sounds like a generalization, like "at all, in the world"...
Некоторые люди думают, что летать на самолетах - опаснее, чем ездить на машинах.
Another month ends. All targets met. All systems working. All customers satisfied. All staff eagerly enthusiastic. All pigs fed and ready to fly.
