"Кларнет ля" Clarinet player needs help!

    Hi!

I am a clarinet (Кларнет) player who LOVES Dmitri Shostokovich (Дмитрий Шостакович) . I have a piece of his music which is written for "Кларнет ля". Is this a Bb Clarinet, A Clarinet, Eb Clarinet....?

I ask because the only key that makes sense in the music is an A clarinet. But logic tells me "лр" must mean a two-letter instrument...such as Bb or Eb.

For the die-hard musicians (and/or clarinetists) I'm referring to his "Three Pieces for Clarinet" (poд. 1906 r.)

Please email me directly at jasondotguest@gmail.com

    Thank you!
