    Please translate into English phrase from Harry Potter; specifically "кому сказала"; from the sentence- "Тебе лучше уйти отсюда, -строго признесла мадам Пинс. -Давай...

    Literally it sounds like Whom do you think am I talking to?

    I still don't understand: why to translate back into Engish??? Get the original.

    I touched upon this same question recently. The Russian version of Harry Potter is not exact with the Russian; and that actually is good. Some English thoughts and expressions do not translate well into Russian; and I am sure vice versa. Also, it is very interesting to learn the idioms of Russian. If someone should sit down and read a list of idioms of any language; they would soon realize that language was not created by a bunch of writers, professors, scholars, teachers, poets, linguists, public speakers, scientists, politicians, artists, or any other! @#$%^.....but just by ordinary people! AMEN!

    I think he gets the gist, but a more common English phrase might be:

    Go away (/Get out of here)! Yeah, I am talking to you.
    Hei, rett norsken min og du er død.
