Все, уходи, а то сейчас привыкну
I touched upon this same question recently. The Russian version of Harry Potter is not exact with the Russian; and that actually is good. Some English thoughts and expressions do not translate well into Russian; and I am sure vice versa. Also, it is very interesting to learn the idioms of Russian. If someone should sit down and read a list of idioms of any language; they would soon realize that language was not created by a bunch of writers, professors, scholars, teachers, poets, linguists, public speakers, scientists, politicians, artists, or any other! @#$%^.....but just by ordinary people! AMEN!
Comon, get outta here, what did I say?
I think he gets the gist, but a more common English phrase might be:
Go away (/Get out of here)! Yeah, I am talking to you.
is it okay to say "Go away, I'm telling you"?
You can, but it is alot softer than my version. More like a suggestion or an advice.
Get lost you MF!!!!
(a very polite version  )
Could it be "Off you go!" ?
Only if it is preceded by a powerful kick in the recipient's behind.Quote:
