    Antonio, you might want to clarify the sentence. The idea is not exactly clear to me.

    Мне все равно means I don't care (negative connotation), Everything is the same to me (which is more positive)

    But taken separately, все равно is usually used for emphasis, as a language device to convey emotions (meaning is close to 'no matter what'). Eg, Я всё равно туда поеду! - I will go there no matter what! Я всё равно это сделаю! - I will do it no matter what! Он всё равно об этом узнает - He will learn about it, and nothing can be done about it.

    alex i found it, I asked my teacher. It is what dtrq answered: In this case it means "but still". I will use also your translation when I speak: "no matter what"
    Чем больше слов, тем меньше они стоят.

    С этим трудно не согласиться. But still is a good fit.
