    будто

i am starting to get this one alot more, i know things like что-то, and где-то, but i can't figure out what буд-то might mean. i have heard it in things like буд-то воздух я дишу, and ''он лежал на землей, буд-то просто устал, кто его убивал'' i asked a kid at school and he said it can be used as "like" like, for the first one "It's like im breathing air", and the second one didn't make as much sense, but he said "He laid down on the ground, because like he was exhausted" whether this is right or not, well this is why i'm asking you.
Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!

There should be no dash in "будто". It has a lot of meaings. One of them is "as if".

In regards to your sentense ''он лежал на земле, буд-то просто устал, кто его убивал'', it means "he was lying on the ground, as if he was just tired, who was killing him". As you see, it doesn't make much sense even in English.

    P.S.

    Synonyms include:

    будто
    будто бы
    как будто
    как будто бы
    ровно (разг.)
    словно
    точно
    якобы

One of another meanings is 'allegedly'. Actually, it is closer to 'якобы', but 'будто' or 'будто бы' can often be used as well. For example:

The city was allegedly hit by friendly fire.
Город якобы (будто бы) пострадал от огня своих.
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

Who killed him would probably be кто его убил.
