И тут без своих понтов не может = what does this mean exactly? Anyone? I'm beginning to understand what понт means, but I still don't understand this sentence.
And:

И тут без своих понтов не может = He just has to show off?

"И тут" = here, too / even here / in this case, too / even in this case / in this situation, too / even in this situation

The "и" doesn't mean "and" there.
"Без понтов" roughly can mean "without showing off", but context matters.
