Trying to translate these 3 sentences , they have very simple differences

    Hello everyone !
I am trying to translate this sentence " you don't have to be religious to feel poor people , all you need to have is a heart and conscience " to russian and i finished with this
" Вы не должны быть религиознымor верующим "don't know which word is right" , чтобы чувствовать бедным людям, все, что вам нужно иметь это сердце и совесть "
and the same sentence but changing "feel" to "see"
"Вы не должны быть верующим or религиозным, чтобы видеть бедных людей, все, что вам нужно иметь это сердце и совесть "
"вам не нужны глаза, чтобы видеть бедных людей, все, что вам нужно иметь это сердце и совесть"
what do you think guys is the best sentence according to the meaning
i think the first one , what do you think ?
    Thanks

не нужно быть верующим, чтобы испытывать сочуствие к бедным, нужно лишь иметь сердце и совесть - I think something like this, but I'm not a native Russian so maybe someone will have a better translation. You don't need to say вам because it is understood, and you don't need to say религиозным верующим, since верующим itself implies religious belief. In the second example, вам не нужны глаза sounds wrong to me - maybe it's better to say не нужно иметь глаза. The rest of the sentence looks fine though, except you can remove вам.

Being a native Russian, I fully agree with John's proposal.

"вам не нужны глаза" is more or less OK to me, but it indeed sounds ambiguous. I agree "не нужно иметь глаза" is better in this context.

Yes, and "испытывать сочувствие к бедным" can be simplified as "сочувствовать бедным".
