    Trying One More Time...

I am going to try one more time to post the photographs of the paintings for which I am hoping to receive your most excellent assistance with the translations of their individual signatures. Rather than attach them onto the end of my previously failed post, it seemed a better idea to simply start anew. I know that there are likely to be several ideas on each signature, which is why I went head and posted an image of the painting each belongs to, as well. (Not meaning to state the obvious, but the signature directly follows the painting upon which it is found.) The most aged piece dates to the mid 1920s, so the artists will have all been active within the late 19th-to-mid-20th Century periods:

Thanks to each and everyone of you who attempts to assist me on this. It is going to help more than you can possibly know!

    My amateur guesses.

    1. Signed with latin letters. "N.Fechin 48"
Feshin Nikolaj Ivanovich (signed using French standards)
    http://www.artsait.ru/art/f/feshin/main.htm

    Ermolaeva Vera Mikhajlovna (Jermolajeva, Yermolayeva...)
    http://www.artsait.ru/art/e/ermolaeva/main.htm

    Klun Ivan Vasiljevich (Kljun, Klyun...)
    http://www.artsait.ru/art/k/klun/main.htm

    Kaplan Anatoly Lvovich
    http://www.museum.ru/N32678

    Krichevsky Vasily Grigorjevich (Krichevskij...)
Krychevsky Vasyl Hryhorovych (if transliterated from Ukrainian)

"Россия для русских" - это неправильно. Остальные-то чем лучше?

    Re: Trying One More Time...

I know I have thanked you privately for the work you did on the previously posted signatures, but also want you to know that you were so successful with my art, it makes me think you ought to consider offering your services to the general public. Transcribing signatures on Russian art is a fundamental reason why so many mid-level buyers here in the US avoid buying Russian and other Eastern European paintings, as ridiculous as that sounds.

Anyway, the responses you provided for me proved to be so gosh darned successful, I wondered if you might not be interested in trying another? This one comes from a painting owned by a friend. He has had several Russian language speakers, people with some knowledge of art, attempt to transcribe it, but to no real avail. If you have any more of your "informed" guesses (I refuse to call them "amateur," as you were simply too successful for that), I would love to surprise him with a likely culprit! (Clicking the photo ought to take you to a larger version of the image.)

I really mean it when I say "Thank you, again!"

Sorry, I was unable to find in internet any artist like that. I have asked about it in a couple of places, and if there'll be any answer I'll put it here.

Thanks so much, but I think, after a lot of visual calesthentics, I actually found it on my own: Leonid Yanush. What do you think, do you agree?

Yes, "Л. Януш"="L. Yanush" is easily recognizable but I did not find this artist by search in Russian because in Russian Януш is a very common Polish name (= Janusz) and internet is full of this name. It is funny how one can take something very common, transliterate it from latin to cyrillic and back (Janusz -> Януш -> Yanush) and obtain something rare!
