scrap
scrap yard
i mean construction scrap like lead and copper etc
for example:

Maybe мусор
Я взял палку и нож, мелки и бумагу и направился к холмам.
Are you talking about broken metallic stuff or something like that? That's "металлолом" (металл + лом (->ломать)).

ok, i think ill go with металлолом.
just for the record tho, im helping my uncle rennovate a house. all the lead that comes from the roof and copper from the pipes etc can be taken to a scrap yard where they weigh the scrap and then pay you for it.
would металлолом still fit this context??
Perfectly. Actually it's "Пункт приёма металлолома" or "пункт приёма металла".Originally Posted by Lt. Columbo
