Thread: Quote by Vladimir Nabokov

Hello!

Is anyone familiar with this author? I have an English quote but Google search doesn't seem to be doing me any good in finding the original Russian translation.
The quote I'm looking for is “The pages are still blank, but there is a miraculous feeling of the words being there, written in invisible ink and clamoring to become visible."
Any help would be much appreciated

I'd never heard this Nabokov quote before:

"Страницы еще пусты, но странным образом ясно, что все слова уже написаны невидимыми чернилами и только молят о зримости."

But apparently it comes from an essay entitled "Искусство литературы и здравый смысл", "The Art of Literature and Common Sense."
