Need help translating part of a poem
Hello!
Can anyone help me translate this part of a poem into Russian?
Let us swear an oath and keep it with an equal mind,
In the hollow Lotus Land to live and lie reclined,
On the hills like Gods together careless of mankind.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you!
Lilly

curious, where did this come from and why do you want to translate it into Russian?
Re: Need help translating part of a poem
It is from a poem called 'The Lotus Eaters' by Lord Tennyson. I would like to say it to my lover who is Russian. Cheesy I know haha.
Re: Need help translating part of a poem
I cheated and copied it from the poetic translation by Balmont. :) But I'm afraid that the meaning of this extract is not quite clear without a context.
Клянемтесь же, изгнав из душ тревоги,
Пребыть в прозрачной полумгле,
Покоясь на холмах, - бесстрастные, как боги, -
Без темной думы о земле.

The Russian translation of the English poem is Давайте клятву, и сохранить его спокойствие,
В полой Земли Lotus жить и лгать прилег,
На холмах, как боги вместе небрежным человечества.
