    Name

    Hello All!!

I am addicted to my learning of the Russian language, and my friends want to start calling me by a Russian name or word instead of my own.

    Any suggestions?

    Regards,

    Aki

Вот это да, я так люблю себя. И сегодня я люблю себя, ещё больше чем вчера, а завтра я буду любить себя to ещё больше чем сегодня. Тем что происходит,я вполне доволен!

My full name is Samuel James Harcus.

I am known as Dr. AKi Ross (aki or Doc for short) on most forums I use.

My friends want to call me by a Russian name, so I asked.

What do you mean, how do you get internet in the orkney/shetland islands???

Has anyone ever been to Orkney/Shetland, or even know where they are?

By Russian name do you mean the Russian equivalent of your real name, or just a nickname that's a Russian word?

And at least pick someone from FF6 or earlier. The new ones suck. I almost cried the first time I played FF2/4j and the little wizard twins turned themselves to stone to stop the walls from closing. Of course I was about 12 at the time. It was the saddest thing I had ever seen since that Indian dude lost his horse in Neverending Story.

Either - nickname, real name or just a word. As long as it sounds good and has a good meaning, i don't care. I'm open to ALL suggestions.

You are smart. Nobody else realises aki is from FF:TSW.

I tok the name cos I was bored and watched the film on Sky at about 10AM GMT, and it sounded cool.

    aki

    PS

All right I'll just close my eyes and pick one at random out of the dictionary.

    Bankrot - банкрот

It translates as dyvour, but I have no idea what the hell that is. God damn this Russian->UK:UK->Russian dictionary and its obscure British words.

See, that's what I thought. The dictionary had all this crap about Scotch law and wearing clothing as a sign of shame or something.

    Aki is a neutral name.

Like "Joe" could be male or female.

Has anyone got ANY idea for a name?

From my dictionary only James has a translation - it's Яков Yakov - quite a Russian name. Short will be Яша Yasha. It's a male name that's not very common in modern Russia
