Dude, I don't think you guys realize I'm a girl. Maybe I didn't make that very clear. I don't wanna date her. It's just hard for her to talk to people since she can't speak english well and I want to make her feel welcome. I watched her at the library the other day and she was having a terrible time trying to tell the librarian that she wanted to go on a computer. I went and helped! So I do speak enough russian to make up for some of the language gaps, but it's mostly just words I can say, not sentences. It would be nice if I could ask to sit down in a full sentence, that's all. Maybe I'll think about hitting on her later. lol

here are some phrases that you could use:

как дела - kak dela - How are things?
тебе надо помочь? - tebe nada pomosh - Do you need help?
хочешь обедать вместе? - hoshesh obedat vmeste - Shall we have lunch?
Что ты делаешь вечером - shto ty delayesh vecherom - What are you doing in the evening?

Do you need help- Хочешь я тебе помогу?/Тебе нужна помощь?
(помочь- это глагол)
What are you doing in the evening?- Какие планы у тебя на вечер? Что ты будешь делать вечером?
(по-моему "что ты делаешь вечером" не очень хорошо звучит)
