I appreciate any help please. How to russian parents tell their children to Stop action?!?
перестань
прекрати
хватит
For example:
Перестань ковырять в носу. - Stop picking your nose.
"перестань" and "прекрати" are pretty much the same and mean "stop", "хватит" literally means "enough(of)'"
What about стоп? :)
All the stop signs in Odessa said стоп.
Also Mirage sings the following:
Я кричу тебе "Останься!"
Cool! Thanks Friendly! Kwatts, too when I typed "stop" into a translator it came back as стоп. (?)
I always thought it was "останавливать". It that way off?
Перестать means to stop doing something.
Останавливать/остановить means to stop a person or thing.
Останься -- stay, do not leaveQuote:

Though the former is more colloquial and the latter sometimes is rude.
Хорош реветь! = Stop the crying!
"Нельзя (делать что-либо)!"
НИЗЗЗЯЯЯЯЯЯЯЯЯЯЯЯ!
:thanks:Quote:

I always thought that booger meant "snot of solid consistancy" wheras snot meant "snot of fluid or slimy consistancy"Quote:

Final curiosity, would "перестань съешьте в козявка!" translate correctly to "stop eating your booger!"?
перестань есть козявки!Quote:

Another common expression - "сопли жевать" though it's usually used not with literal meaning :)
It means to idle, to do nothing thought you have to do something, to discuss something for a long time not making decisions.
Хватит уже сопли жевать, давайте принимать решение.
Well mizzen me masts - is that an attempt at putting me down or a delusion brought forth by me heavy drinking? Must you always correct my typos, lass? Do ye seriously think a sea-faring bloke like meself doesn't know how to spell avast correctly? Shiver my timbers, but may I be kicked in the pants and called Eleanor if I don't hang ye from a yard arm by the halyards of your jibs if you embarrass me in front of the entire crew like that again! Throw her overboard, lads!Quote:

Пожалуста :) Не, ничё другого в голову не приходит. Хотя... можно сказать "благодарю", но это звучит более формально.Quote:
