    Hello and help

    I was reading a sentence in a Russian, and I didn't understand what "объявлял выход" meant. Here is the whole sentence: На школьном конкурсе «Золотая осень» Роман объявлял выход Ларисы.

    I get everything except the "объявлял выход" part. Can someone help me translate this sentence?

    He was announcing to the audience that next turn is Larisa's.
    In Russian, all nationalities and their corresponding languages start with a lower-case letter.
